The Bull City Ball is a Durham-based nonprofit with the goal of making a direct, positive impact in our community by bringing people together to raise money for local organizations.

The Bull City Ball got its start in the summer 2017 as a reaction to what its founders felt was constant negativity in the news and on social media. Rather than participating in negative discourse, they decided the best way to influence real change was to take action themselves. As Durham residents, they wanted to make an impact on their local community. As a new charity, they wanted to partner with organizations for whom their dollars will make a difference. As people who value strengthening their community, they wanted to bring people together. Thus, the Ball was born.
